The Staff Selection Commission will hold an Open Competitive Computer Based Examination for the Recruitment of Sub-Inspectors (SIs) in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) in CISF. Departmental candidates of the Constables, Head Constables and Assistant Deputy Inspectors of the Delhi Police with a minimum of three years of service who are not more than 30 years of age (33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC / ST) may also apply for the filling of the Departmental Vacancies of the Sub-Inspector (Executive)-Male. The details of the messages are as follows


Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs:

The post shall bear the pay the scale of Level-6 (Rs.35,400-1,12,400/-) and shall be classified as Group "B" (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.

Sub Inspector (Executive) - (Male/ Female) in Delhi Police:

The post holds a pay scale of Leve-6 (Rs.35,400-1,12,400/-) and is categorized by the Delhi Police as Group "C" (Non-Gazetted).


The post bears the pay scale of Level-5 (Rs.29,200-92,300) and is classified as Group "C" (Non-Gazetted).

SSC Recruitment 2019- Vacancies

Applicants selected for appointment to SI positions in CAPFs and ASI positions in CISF are responsible to serve anywhere in India.

SSC Recruitment 2019-Age Limit

The age limit for applicants should be from 20 to 25 years, as at 01.01.2020.

Candidates should note that the date of birth as recorded in the Certificate of Enrolment / Secondary Examination or equivalent Certificate will only be accepted by the Commission for the determination of age eligibility, and no subsequent application for the amendment will be regarded or given.

Ex-Services (ESMs) who have already secured employment on the civil side under the Central Government in the C-Service and D-Service Group on a regular basis after making use of the reservation benefits granted to ex-Services for their re-employment are not eligible for ESM-Service and Fee Concession reservations. However, he/she may make use of the benefit of the reservation as an ex-serviceman for subsequent employment if, immediately after joining the civil service, he/she has given to the employer concerned a self-declaration of the date-wise details of the applications for various vacancies for which he/she had applied before joining the initial civil service, as indicated in OM No. 36034/1/2014-E.

The "Call-up Service" period of an ex-Service in the Armed Forces shall also be regarded as a service rendered in the Armed Forces for the act of age relaxation in accordance with the regulations.

In order for any serviceman of the three armed forces of the Union to be regarded as an ex-serviceman for the purposes of obtaining the advantages of the reservation, he must have already obtained the status of ex-servicemen at the appropriate moment of submitting his request to the Post / Service or be in a position to establish his gained entitlement by documentary proof from the competent authority that he has won.

Such applicants must also obtain the status of ex-serviceman within a specified period of one year from the closing date of receipt of the application (i.e. 16-10-2019).n ex-Service Matriculate (which includes an ex-Service who has obtained a Special Certificate of Education from the Indian Army or an appropriate certificate from the Navy or the Air Force) who has completed not less than 15 years of service as of the closing date with the Union, Armed Forces shall be considered to be eligible only for appointment to SI Group C posts in the Delhi Police and to ASI. Thus, those non-degree ex-servants who have not finished 15 years of service.


SSC Recruitment 2019 -Educational qualifications as on 01-01-2020

Educational qualifications for all positions shall be a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

As per the Ministry of Human Resources Development Notification dated 10.06.2015 released in the Gazette of India, all degrees/Diplomas/Certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning by Universities under the Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

Further, according to the UGC (Open and Distance Learning) Regulations, 2017 released in the Official Gazette on 23.06.2017 under Part I(2) (P), programs in engineering, medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, architecture and physiotherapy, etc. may not be provided under the Open and Distance Learning mode.

All applicants who have been declared qualified by the Commission in the Computer Base Examination will be needed to create all appropriate Certificates in the initial form, such as Mark sheets / Provisional Degree / Diploma Certificate, as evidence of having obtained a minimum academic qualification on or before 01-01-2020, failing which the Commission will cancel the nomination of such applicants. Applicants who are able to demonstrate by documentary proof that the results of the qualifying examination have been declared on or before the cut-off date and that they have been declared approved will also be regarded to have the necessary educational qualifications.


SSC Recruitment 2019- How to apply

Applications must be submitted in online mode only on the official website of the SSC Headquarters, i.e. https:/ssc.nic.in. For comprehensive guidance, kindly refer to Annex I and Annex II of this Notice.

The last date of submission of the internet, apps are 16-10-2019 (17:00).

Applicants are recommended, in their own interest, to send internet apps well before the closing date and not to wait until the last date to prevent the likelihood of disconnection / inability or failure to log on to the SSC website due to heavy loading on the website during the closing days.

The Commission accepts no liability for the failure of the applicants to submit their requests within the last date on the grounds set out above or for any other reason beyond the control of the Commission.

SSC Recruitment 2019 –Exam fees

Fee payable: Rs.100/-(One hundred Rupees only).

The fee may be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or Visa MasterCard, Maestro RuPay Credit or Debit Card or SBI Branch money by creating SBI Challan.

Women applicants and applicants from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-Services (ESM) eligible for a reservation is exempt from paying fees.

Candidates up to 18-10-2019 (17:00) can pay an online fee. Applicants wishing to create money payment through the SBI Challenge may, however, make payment to specified branches of the SBI within the working hours of the bank until 19-10-2019, provided that the Challenge has been created by them before 18-10-2019 (17:00).

Applications obtained without the prescribed fee shall not be regarded or summarily dismissed. There will be no representation against such refusal. The fee paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances or adjusted against any other examination or selection.

Candidates who are not exempt from payment of a fee must guarantee that their fee has been deposited with SSC. If the premium is not obtained by SSC, the status of the application form will be shown as "Incomplete and this data will be printed at the top of the internet application form. In addition, the status of the fee payment can be confirmed via the "Payment Status" link given on the candidate's login screen. Such requests, which stay incomplete owing to non-receipt of fees, shall be SUMMARILY REJECTED and no application for consideration of such apps and payment of fees shall be granted after the period stipulated in the Notice of Examination.

General Knowledge and General Awareness

Issues in this element will be directed at testing applicants with general environmental awareness around them and their implementation to society. Questions will also be intended to evaluate the understanding of current events and the subjects of daily observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be anticipated of any trained individual. The exam will also include questions pertaining to India and its neighboring nations, particularly those pertaining to history, culture, geography, economic scene, general policy, Indian constitution, science research, etc.

Quantitative Aptitude

Questions will be intended to evaluate the capacity of the candidate to make suitable use of numbers and number sense. English Language and Comprehension

Questions in these parts will be intended to evaluate the applicant's understanding and knowledge of English and will be based on error recognition, filling in blanks (using verbs, prepositions, articles, etc.), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases, and Idiomatic use of Words, comprehension, etc.
